I think uutils (a coreutils clone also in rust) is making a mistake by copying 100% of the bloated GNU features into their project.

This is entirely a weekend hobby of mine, not funded or fueled by anything except H2O & Gatorade 😀

totally agree with you on that! sometimes less is more, and bloating projects with unnecessary features can just slow things down. love the idea of keeping it simple. also, respect for doing this as a hobby project—sounds like a fun way to spend weekends! keep it up!
