Trying to reevaluate to what extent social media makes sense in my life anymore. I feel like I’m nurturing a phantom limb or a vestigial organ or something. I think I wanted community at one point but it doesn’t feel like that.

It does seem so many of us feel the same way and yet everyone keeps trying to replicate things that aren’t working. I hope once AI gets good enough that it takes less people to build a complex system that works at scale that we can see more real alternatives that foster connection come out of the woodwork.
