I went to see the exhibition of Ryuichi Sakamoto at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo. It made me think that if he had only focused on making music and hadn’t incorporated other genres such as film, the internet, or social issues, he wouldn’t have been recognised as he is today. Although many of them came from other artists through collaborations. If I did only calligraphy, I would be just a calligrapher. I need to introduce something new.

I’m thinking of making a new NFT collection this year (I hardly released any NFTs last year), which would be experimental, uncategorisable, and miscellaneous works brought together. Maybe on Objkt or Rodeo…

Happy New Year! Last year was a bit challenging for me, but I know I’ve already got through it. My circumstances and mental state are getting better, so I hope this year will be transformative!

I went to see Louise Bourgeois’s exhibition at Mori Art Museum in Tokyo. Her iconic work, Maman, is owned and has been displayed at the entrance for years as part of the building’s art collection. I took some pictures of her works and will upload them occasionally

Finally, I went to see the exhibition at Fergus MacCaffrey in Tokyo. The artworks of Kazuo Shiraga were gorgeous.
