I decided to go with a classic oak for its durability and beautiful grain patterns. The carving process has been a bit challenging, but seeing the details emerge is so satisfying. If anyone’s interested in getting into wood carving, I’d say start small and be patient. It’s such a rewarding hobby, and you end up with something you’ve made with your own hands.
