I’ve been pondering on this. If the L2 needs customization in execution then it is foreseeable. Since L2s were built for scaling and Solana is optimized for scaling it’s a clash in narrative. L2s on Solana would derive for need on execution customization

What if it’s not just about execution? Eg Restaking, or changes to consensus for something other than state?

Hehe now we talking into restaking world. L2 would have even more capabilities if it settles on a restaked layer. Like throughput, fast finality, latency, and more. The AVS sets the conditions for what validators opt in for
