Being emotionless is not the way to go
 I've been on both sides of the spectrum, and trust me, you rather get hurt fighting for what you believe in, than giving up all emotions and close off your heart. Sure, there will be hardships, there will be suffering, but in the end, it will be all worth it. 
That will be a very satisfied feeling. Just make sure you put your heart into the right place. Don't let bad people take advantages of you!
