Overview of the Radeon Brand

Radeon is a prominent brand of computer products, primarily known for its graphics processing units (GPUs), but also encompassing random-access memory (RAM), RAM disk software, and solid-state drives (SSDs). It is produced by the Radeon Technologies Group, a division of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). The brand was originally launched in 2000 by ATI Technologies, a Canadian company acquired by AMD in 2006 for approximately US$5.4 billion. Radeon serves as the successor to ATI’s earlier Rage line of graphics products, evolving into a key player in the consumer and professional graphics markets.
