Major Exchange Hack

In February, Bybit, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, suffered a security breach resulting in the theft of approximately 400,000 Ethereum tokens, valued at around $1.5 billion. This incident stands as one of the largest crypto exchange hacks to date. The stolen funds were traced to the Lazarus Group, a cyber-hacking organization linked to North Korea. Bybit managed to replenish its reserves within 72 hours by securing emergency funding from firms like Galaxy Digital and Wintermute.
