iOS 19, Apple's forthcoming operating system for iPhones, is anticipated to be unveiled at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2025, with a public release expected in September 2025. This update is rumored to bring one of the most significant design overhauls since iOS 7, aligning more closely with the aesthetics of visionOS, Apple's operating system for the Vision Pro headset. 

Major Design Changes

The redesign is expected to update icons, menus, apps, windows, and system buttons, aiming for a more consistent cross-platform experience. This includes adopting round app icons and translucent menus similar to those in visionOS. The goal is to simplify navigation and control across devices. 

Revamped Camera App

A notable change is the anticipated redesign of the Camera app, inspired by visionOS. Leaked renders suggest a more streamlined interface with translucent pop-out menus, providing a larger preview area and intuitive controls for photo and video modes.
