@edgecity Lanna has been a great opportunity to indoctrinate offchainers working on impactful projects. Maia Adar is developing an algorithm for a wearable device that can detect sexual pleasure and orgasm. This will be used to conduct objective, naturalistic studies about how people can have better sex. Sounds nounish to me. I'd love to see Nouns to explore science as a new vertical. She was one of the most enthusiastic woekshop participants and her prop draft is looking solid because she's already shipped lots of work. She can't commit to participating in governance, but also says she's very aligned with Nouns as a (checks notes) funder. 👀

Has anyone built a functional web-of-trust thing? We have an actual use case. tldr: - people invite people to our popup city gatherings - If invitee is great, we can track that, inviter gets some reward - everyone connected to everyone in web - interop with community tools

This is a great piece. One part that stood out was this section about micro-exits. I see the popup city movement and thinks like Zuzalu, Edge City as being places where we can meaningfully experiment with micro-exits related to new ways of living, tech-enabled communities, etc., and then merge them back into society. e.g. if we don't like how it's very hard to live near people we like and admire in normal society, lets run a monthlong experiment to try an alternative. We might decide we like it, and take it into our normal life.

Ah amazing! He gave a great talk at Edge Esmeralda. This has been one of my favorite books that I read this year. Although it looks like the event is online? I would’ve loved to go in person in New York.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot actually: NS = kiki The most obvious bouba thing is a bubble and the most obvious bubble like community field is a vibe. So… vibe fields. Stable and persistent ones in particular.
