I’m thinking “Debased” is too confrontational a collection title

I was thinking that Pixies song “Debaser” 

I’m not commenting on the scalability, or whatever is necessary to get laymen in..

I see it as inevitable, as Fine Art is already consumed primarily through digital means. 

Dirty secret is, critics, historians, artists all so called connoisseurs already consume and their knowledge of so called “Art” digitally..

So,

NYC is roughly costing me 8k a month.

4k for a one bedroom

1k for student loans (yes, I’m still massively in debt. School of Visual Arts and other prestigious American graduate masters programs are pricey)

1k child support (which is another thing)..

1k for food
And, utilities etc.. 

It’s tight here

Ok, diary entries. Bad. I already got off topic. I’ll polish this. A lot

But, nyc fine art is a farce that has been consumed and absorbed by those unfamiliar with this place. 

It will continue.. but, it’s best to measure these thoughts out.

I’d prefer writing from a balanced POV.

I started with explaining this collection. 

Ended up with NYC and graduate school. 

A lot of gaps. 

And, I don’t use drugs or drink.. it’s the art thing.. which would lead to another diatribe.

I learned who Andy Warhol was, while at Penn State.

Whoops, but, I didn’t care. Because

I was an idiot jock, who derided anything art related as “queer” in the worst way. 

I hate that person..anyway. 

Art, in Nazareth, Pennsylvania was unknown to me. Baseball and Football and tribe thought was me. I strived for cool. 

Now, I’ve kinda strive for cringe

Very few exceptions to the above, very few. 

And, if that is the reality. Then all art is provincial (provincial is typically used in the pejorative) 


Meaning, a prerequisite for the consumption of art is social mobility
