Is there an analogy that can be made w seed stage/late stage investors to realist/romantic perception of men & women?

When someone invests in a project and how they want to be viewed by the founding team vs the personal beliefs they hold about the outcome is interesting to me.

I was trying to think of another scenario similar to our evolutionary  background where males try to proliferate as much as possible but hope to find "the one"

While females have to be selective of their partner (and birth "the one/few" humans) but also not deter suitors to increase optionality

Interesting analogy. Can you say it with an example so I know what you mean?
