Delays aren’t the red flag. Fake building is! 🛑 The problem is unfulfilled PROMISES. Not the roadmap getting delayed. Not the MVP looking different than expected. The problem is that some projects were never actually being built. That the hype was based entirely on words and marketing. On LARPing — not on real products. 👈🏻 Most projects operate like this. And it damages the market. So before you complain that something’s running late, ask yourself one thing: Is this team really building? Because if they are — delays, pivots, shifts in assumptions… That’s normal. That’s what development looks like. That’s the result of iteration. That’s a sign someone actually cares about quality. Changing direction isn’t the issue. ✅ Making promises without any intention to build — that’s the issue. ❌ Delays driven by ambition to deliver something great? Strategy changes made during real development? That’s NOT a red flag.
