Great perspective by Erik Voorhees on Appleβs AI through which all user data is to be funneled and analyzed - even if they apply a strong privacy mechanism, we need to trust their close-source system, integrity and their ability to fend off attackers! https://x.com/erikvoorhees/status/1800566330032259183?s=12

Nothing against Apple's approach , though a closed loop system typically suffers from entropy and disorderliness in the long run, if without the infusion of external stimulus to keep it resilient and robust, that is the iron clad law of nature.

The problem is no company and no individual should get that much power. Only a decentralized and open source system should have it, if any at all. I donβt want to get spied by windows or Apple - for my own good of course - and I am a usual guy with nothing to hide.
