I hope you don't mind me asking an open question, but what's your opinion of open campaign finance disclosure laws.  Should congress people need to show who's giving money or is that a government overreach?

Well It's not something I've specifically thought a lot about, and it's a difficult question. They are public employees paid for with the public's taxes, so it does make some sense that they should be required to disclose donation information to their employers (taxpayers). I don't care about protecting politicians' privacy, but I do care about the privacy and safety of private citizens who choose to donate. 

If I want to donate my money to a candidate, I would feel violated if that information was made public. After all it can be dangerous to have a record of campaign donations...if in ten years let's say a dictator takes over and orders everyone who donated to his enemies to be killed. Stuff like that can and does happen. So I don't know the answer, maybe disclose donations from corporations and NGOs but not individuals? 

Also, unrelated but if money is free speech like Citizens United determined, then locking people in prison for selling BTC (unlicensed money transmission) should be a violation of that.
