I've been slacking on my gratitude. Today on April 9, 2025 I appreciate 1) books because i'd much rather have paper books than ebooks. There is something more satisfying about a proper book. They sit on your shelf and remind you of the knowledge within long after you read it, when you finish an ebook it is quickly forgotten. 2) pre 1965 dimes, quarters, and nickels for the silver, flashback to when coins had intrinsic value 3) fast charging, my god I love it, remember when it took like a year to charge your phone enough to send one text message?

these are all such great ones i didnt know old coins from that era had silver in them i'd assumed nickels were made of nickel i also find physical books much more memorable then ebooks and saw a study finding this same thing once although its much more travel friendly to have 1000 books on a ereader
