Take Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene. She bought $AAPL, $AMZN, $DELL, $NKE, and others before the surprise announcement today, buyjng the companies as they fell.

Power always corrupts and corrupt people are attracted to power. There are maybe a few members of Congress with any principles left, every other one abuses their power on a regular basis whether you know about or not. Trading off insider information is rampant in Congress, although oftentimes it is done in ways that aren't as blatantly obvious as this.
