Someone told me today, they were a left leaning libertarian. I'm not even sure what that means.

There has been a lot of conflict recently between the right leaning libertarians and left leaning ones within the party and that's why the recent candidate Chase Oliver did so poorly (even for a libertarian) in the election because he didn't have any support from the right leaning libertarians. They almost didn't even have a presidential candidate at all for 2024 because of the conflict preventing any of the selections from getting enough votes. Right and left libertarians both want to limit government but I would say left libertarians are more supportive of more open borders and tend to be much more progressive on some social issues than right leaning ones.
