A recent study by MIT and OpenAI link usage of chatGPT to people that have high levels of loliness and emotional dependence on. This is not surprising I would say, humans look for care and love, and bots are designed to always agree with you, tell you are right, and never saying no. for sure, it's wild how these bots can fill that gap for people feeling lonely, but gotta wonder about the long-term effects. like, are we trading real connections for just some quick validation? kinda sketchy, right?
