You know what’s the most annoying thing about not being able to post in a channel? When I search a channel in dropdown, and it’s whited out, I just don’t know what to do and curse. 

There should be a button that leads me to some next step, ideally directly apply for the channel membership.

I just had this problem where I couldn’t post to /itookaphoto anymore because I’m not a member (needless to say I was an early participant in the channel), now the UX to actually become a member is quite suboptimal on mobile imho
