If you're upgrading from React Native 0.76 -> 0.77 / 0.78 be careful You might have noticed the template changed from Obj-C++ to Swift, but it's not just a syntax change If you're sticking with AppDelegate .mm in your project, you still need to add the lines from the release notes: https://reactnative.dev/blog/2025/01/21/version-0.77#rctappdependencyprovider

Really depends on what you like the most - if you're more interested in web3 than in development as a whole, go for Solidity React is a very broad topic, you can study for years without ever touching web3

hmm good point, expo might make it a lot easier because of not needing to mess with native files I was trying with a plain RN app though, React Native for macOS but should be the same

three steps to building desktop apps: 1. "if I run a shell command I can do anything" 2. realize you cant because of the security sandboxing 3. find an api that does what you want and it's easier
