It's the never-never plan. You qualify for a mortgage with CMHC insurance, so you get to pay more. After 5 yrs, you move and buy bigger and you're back to paying all interest and no principal. Rinse\* and repeat, and you never own anything. \*I almost wrote the synonym to rinse
