💡Finding signal in a world of noise

1. In any new, developing space, there is noise. New solutions compete for a new market vs existing monopolies & other techs trying to displace them

2. Tech adoption is mostly bottom-up vs top-down because the people furthest away from monopoly power have the most to gain & the people closest to monopoly have the most to lose

3. Hard to understand: breakthrough innovations/discoveries that change our world & force us to use a new lens to understand it. Biases make us unlikely to investigate new innovations on a first principles basis

4. Harder to understand: general purpose tech like AI that affect all industries; or predict their rate of progress. These techs apply to most value creation over time & we underestimate impact on every business & our lives

5. Hardest to understand: open dec protocols that create value as a new foundation that emerges slowly & methodically. Protocols are built in layers, i.e. we can’t see what's possible on next layer until it's built
