More serious… how many people are on the team, and how many are engineers? And give the opportunity to raise money and hire more, would you? Or you feel the team is big enough? Seems to me you ship a lot of great stuff so seems big. Beeper annoyed me by saying they have enough people, but IMO they dont ship much.

12 people, everyone is a staff level engineer except me We ship a lot because we’re small We have 80%+ of the money we raised in 2022. Money is not a constraint, the correct idea / thing to build is.

I wonder why Beeper seems to have so much trouble fixing things that have been broken for a while and shipping features everyone seems to want. Ostensibly it’s because they have to focus all their energy on 1-2 major issues like iMessage compatibility & scaling.
