Using wallet sign ons โ
The main issue here is that this limits the number and the kind of users that can participate on the app.. Ideally, anyone should be able to publish stories, but having a wallet restriction forces users to first become crypto aware (if not native), and that is not the objective..
I even tried to move authentication later in the user flow (ie, after writing and just before publishing), and use Coinbase Smart Wallet, but that has a bunch of downstream issues, primarily the inability to write custom code around the Smart Wallet..
On the reader side of the app, the wallet login also becomes an issue since ideally the UX is being presented with a story from the get go and not bothering with web3 at all..
As a result, the move is now to do a username / password type authentication, akin to web2 platforms.. no need to reinvent the wheel just yet.. especially when trying to bring new people into crypto! 1 reply

**How does Zora help?**
Effectively, Zora's Coins Protocol, and associated network rewards, help in incentivising my users to perform certain actions within the project, and also provide some funds to the project, as a result of the rewards program!
Another way the Coins Protocol can help, is when the markets created by each Coin is against the two network tokens โ `SemicolonToken` and `SemicolonGas`
This however needs to be gamed out, and is thus tentative.. The primary focus of the project is to help address global loneliness and care must be taken to protect writers from market dynamics.. The ultimate goal of the project is to help people share their bottled up emotions, earn some tokens, and then use those tokens to get professional help, if needed.. Creating a direct market between the network tokens and the Coins created can corrupt the original mission.. 1 reply
