There are so many!
Currently, there is WoW Classic: Cataclysm
In the summer, WoW Classic: MoP is coming out
There are Classic Hardcore servers, having to recreate a character if you die
Classic Season of Discovery with vanilla WoW, but some old dungeons are repurposed as raids, and classes get special runes allowing mage healers, rogue tanks, etc
WoW Classic regular vanilla servers keep coming out, I think the most recent is anniversary servers with mostly untouched stuff
There is of course retail WoW, currently going through World Soul Saga, with quicker expansions releasing every ~18 months. They often add new temporary game modes like Plunderstorm with battle royal pvp, there was recently special MoP timewalking game mode where you could only play in MoP expansion, level there 1-70 with special powers and acquire recolored MoP mounts, transmog, unobtainable items and such.
Retail WoW right now is in expansion The War Within. Next expansion is Midnight coming out at the end of this year ish. 1 reply
