I'm not opposed to any entity on the Ethereum network. It's a permissionless system. I AM opposed to any entity who puts our network in peril by aggregating significant risk. Doing something with 20% of all validators? Best wishes! Do it with >20% and you're risking too much

In systems engineering redundant components are force failed to test the overall system health. Should we be considering a future where specific clients are programmed to deactivate for a set block range? Perhaps those validator clients could be compensated through other means if client identification was provable.

The concern isn't limited to clients, they are actually pretty easy to align because there are no losers, only winners. This takes a different form with LSTs or restaking opportunities when there's money on the line and everyone's aggregating risk in the same place.
