I hate Halloween... 😖 

In the 70s here, there was always snow, and we lived in a rural place. We'd get the costume on and then have to ruin it with boots and coats and hats and mittens and shit. And THEN, we'd get driven around to dozens and dozens of houses FOR HOURS to play the "guessing game", even though everyone in the damn house knew who it was as soon as the car pulled in. 🙄  

It was painful. "Oh!!! And who is THIS little monster?!?!", they'd say with glee. And I'd roll my little eyes behind the mask waiting for them to convince themselves I was just shy... 

If I could go back, I'm afraid I wouldn't do it much differently 😔

It's really bad when a custom you're excited for is buried under coats and scarves 🥲
