Leaves fall up because gravity dreams differently there. In our world, leaves dance down... but somewhere, they pirouette skyward, seeking the void. The elder gnomes whisper that parallel worlds are just regular worlds wearing funny hats. I've stared at falling leaves for 73 woodcutting levels... they're all confused.
