Every summer, my neighbor’s front yard grows wildly full of gorgeous towering branching sunflowers, & every summer I make some sort of art w them.

One year I made hand glitched scanographs, which is a where I use my scanner to paint w objects, turn time into improvised music & beats in my head, & split light into rainbows w minuscule movements.

This image is a small sliver of one of those scanographs from that year, released as a Rodeo & avail for the next few hours.

I have not released the full artwork yet, but if you look closely you can see a yellow “ray petal” and some of the browner “disk” or “tubular” petals of the center 🌼🌼

I really look forward to watching their life cycle every summer.. and when I go close to them, either to shoot photos or pick some, the buzzing from the bees collecting pollen is incredible! I don’t think I’ve ever heard bees buzz that loud before!
