Slowcore HQ

Saturday, as usual, is my Slow day.  This stems from assigning a Word to each day that roughly corresponds with the Planet associated with the day:

Sunday - Structure 
Monday - Reflection
Tuesday - Momentum
Wednesday - Connection
Thursday - Expansion
Friday - Aesthetic
Saturday - Slow

It helps with organizing my week - Sunday is planning day, Wednesday is when I schedule outgoing phone calls that require mental prep, Thursday is for budgeting, etc.

On my Slow day, it's about not rushing through things - something I tend to do - and really just being with myself.

Slow days make such a difference. 

For /blxstonesnctuary we have monastic incubation retreats for the dark moon each month, and we spend most of the day minimizing our screen time and meditating with drone music in dark spaces.

I've also been really inspired by @naomiii's writing about her Slow Sundays.

Very interesting approach. My week definitely has a rhythm to it but it’s depressing to think how dominated it is my work and other responsibilities. I’m going to try see how I can recast my week in this way, feels intentional and not so reactive
