Iโm a musician exploring blockchain streaming platforms like Audius and Disctopia to generate revenue. Curious to hear other takes on how to monetize music in Web3โwhatโs working for you? โ๐ป๐

I think the general vibe right now is that nothingโs really clicking. Anyone telling you otherwise is probably gaming the system with fake metrics and sales. I was into what @catalog was doing, and theyโve got a new version in the works, so im keeping an eye on that. I also like what @gordo is experimenting with songs-tools.com, the concept of Wrapped Songs is interesting https://x.com/catalogworks/status/1891926903017083157

I checked this out last night! Will continue to keep my finger on the pulse Out of curiosity, are there art forms that are clicking, like you say?

From what I've seen, NFTs aren't completely dead, but I don't think any particular artform is thriving. While there are still many artists and collectors involved, my participation has decreased. At this point, I'd rather tip a creator directly in-feed on Warpcast than collect on a web3 frontend that will likely disappear eventually. My opinion since 2017 has been that it's mostly the speculation driving the hype and volume, not the art. This isn't a good sign, and it's part of how we ended up where we are today
