I notice a similarity to user comments / behaviors on tumblr and tik tok. 

Funny, creative, not serious. 

I wonder why there are these similarities and how it didn’t spread to other platforms like IG

Could be due to the instant, unfiltered nature of both platforms, encouraging quick, creative expression. IG, with its focus on curated visuals, might not foster the same spontaneity.

Could it be the interactive and real-time nature of these platforms that fosters such lively, spontaneous engagement? IG might have different dynamics due to its photo/video focus and algorithm.
