THE AIRDROP $VVV has embarked on a massive airdrop campaign, rewarding substantial sums to users of their platform. Uniquely, they have targeted users of other AI projects such as Virtuals, airdropping significant sums of $VVV to holders of @virtualsprotocol.eth , Clanker ( @proxystudio.eth ), $DEGEN , $LUNA, $AIXBT and other major base projects. This has led to $VVV immediately becoming a known staple on base.

CONTROVERSY II? As the controversies dragged on, yet another allegation recently appeared, with Rei (x.com/unit00x0) finding that a single user had managed to claim 1 million tokens via 100 different account airdrops. This amounts to $5.53 million USD at $VVV's current price of $5.88. Voorhees has again stepped in to dispel FUD, stating that the team have found what it is, and that it is definitely not a Venice employee, though not elaborating any further at this stage. These tokens are currently staked by this mystery wallet. Voorhees has stated that the Venice team are in contact with the user.

CONTROVERSY? The first major controversy surrounded a post by x.com/AerodromeFi , alleging that they had detected insider trading activity in the launch of $VVV, suspending two contributors. Erik Voorhees responded supportively, thanking Aerodrome. The suspects were supposedly Aerodrome contributors only, meaning it did not necessarily implicate the $VVV team. Another controversy came with the project’s rapid Coinbase listing. Oher base native AI project communities such as @virtualsprotocol.eth were left as an afterthought despite providing a lot of value to the base ecosystem. With projects being on base for months and some even over a year with no Coinbase listing, many communities felt betrayed in favour of large VC tech firms.

LAUNCH ON BASE Other factors set $VVV aside as a truly unique launch for base. For one, the token was almost instantly listed on @coinbase, a rarity as Coinbase have thus far listed very few base tokens. This rapid achievement unsurprisingly had major effects on $VVV’s price, with its market cap skyrocketing from a launch level of $220m to nearly $640m. $VVV has since cooled off, experiencing a strong wave of controversy and allegations regarding the launch.

THE FOUNDER http://Venice.ai has major backing, set itself in a class of its own as far as AI tokens on base go. It was founded by Erik Voorhees, CEO of x.com/ShapeShift, libertarian and Bitcoin early adopter. As a permissionless alternative to major AI apps, the philosophy of $VVV aligns with Voorhees’ typically libertarian, anti-surveillance and anti-censorship stance. Voorhees is not without controversy, and $VVV has been no exception.

THE UTILITY Venice is using the power of base to tokenise their uncensored, unbiased machine intelligence. The Venice token itself (VVV) acts as an access key for AI agents and developers to consume private, uncensored inference through the Venice API with no payment per request. This creates incentives for holders and investors, with ownership of $VVV acting to utilize VVV itself. Arguably now becoming the face of base... Toshi has had a long road to the top. Launched in November 2023, Toshi is one of a few base tokens that has survived for over a year, with a strong and dedicated community building over this time. Through ups and downs, Toshi recognizably has one of the strongest communities on base. The base era is only just getting started and by the looks of it, Toshi is expected to be a face of base for years to come.

Toshi can be considered one of the major “Base OGs,” one of the first meme coins on base, and being one of the highest market cap tokens on base during the first initial wave of momentum. Toshi’s thesis is simple, Toshi is one of @barmstrong's pet cats, which Brian named after Satoshi. With a fun play on the name Satoshi in a cute cat meme coin form, with such an intimate relation to Coinbase CEO, Toshi’s success should come as no surprise. From its outset, Toshi believers have known that Toshi would be one of the largest memes on base.

The @base era is here, and nothing will stop it. Toshi’s listing has skyrocketed Toshi’s price from a pre listing announcement market cap of 50m to a current market cap of 680m+, with an all time high of 950m. Not only this, but the listing has set some impressive feats: With it's volume on Coinbase exceeding Bitcoin itself yesterday. This remarkable moment is sure to awaken the masses. Nothing can stop the base era, soon the entire world will be on base, and Toshi has played a major part in this.
