Helen Keller was the first deaf-blind person to graduate from college. Fifty years before him, Lara Bridgman finishes her education at Perkins Special Schools for the Blind. Helen Keller's mother, by reading one of the works of Charles Dickens, got to know this person and got motivated to teach Helen Keller.
