there are two types of people 

-needs constant background noise to function, has TV on all day etc 
-is driven insane by constant background noise, would literally die without noise cancelling headphones

is there an in-between? i think i exist there. lol.

the latter. 

i switch between the two. depends on the task. 

i usually like to have a movie on my phone while working on my pc.

then there's me at night. utter silence. deep work.

as in you need chill background noise or you switch between 1 & 2?
