Hit a low point, OD’d, lost too many friends, partner OD’d & died in front of me. Checked into rehab, then 3 months of intensive outpatient coupled with MAT (suboxone) + therapy etc. Had previously put it down for even years at a time but always picked it back up. Not this time, especially with the tranq epidemic.

glad you're off it now ❤️ i keep hearing about people who quit, even for really long times, and then going back eventually what did it feel like when you wanted to go back?

thanks! V happy to have made it through. Usually the itch comes from general exhaustion with life + the knowledge that I am generally able to pick it up and put it down - was always very functional addict (up til the last few yrs of active addiction) exec roles, high pay, strong social circle, civically engaged, etc
