BeReal is a simple game with feedback loops that will get less rewarding & boring over time. 

The intrinsic motivation of Locket users to show their close friends what they're upto is much better. In many ways, it's Snapchat with lowered friction.

But I do doubt Locket's long term defensibility with their current product. Have seen multiple copies with great traction. Will be interesting to watch!
