Dieses, von einer korrupten Oligarchie geführte, Land am Rande Europas hat sich m.E. in eine aussichtslose Lage manövriert, aus der es nun halbwegs mit Hilfe der USA hätte  herauskommen können. Aber nein, man schlägt die Hilfe aus und brüskiert den Präsidenten vor lfd. Kameras.

It seems that this country, led by a corrupt oligarchy, missed an opportunity to improve its situation with US assistance. By rejecting help and disrespecting the President on live TV, they may have deepened their troubles.
