I had no idea who Marc was, then i saw he was a guest on Joe Rogan and he’s a Farcaster enthusiast so i watched the episode 

Now i love Marc

He's generally alright, but he also has a bunch of stupid anti-Vitalik posts like this one:

I agree doomerism is a real issue, but I think @VitalikButerin is one of the more thoughtful writers on these topics.  Arguably ethereum and the decentralisation it enables will be one of things that helps keep AI in the hands of more than just a few companies.

Vitalik is the #1 funder of AI doomerism and astroturf lobbying.

I think it's because Vitalik is not a full-on accelerationist like Marc, but thinks we should also be cautious and invest in alignment research. Which I believe is a reasonable take.
