Everyone at the Mavs seem really happy that Luka is gone. AD seems very happy to be at the Mavs. Lessons in there.

Who's happy? I think the team morale is down. They lost their leader and a guy whom every team member loved, some even joined the Mavs because of him.

They'll have to rebuild team chemistry and this is not an easy task.

Maybe Nico is happy, but he's not on the court.

J Kidd and players all seem very happy from the vids I’ve seen. 

Nico seems to be under some strain but that’s because his job is on the line and all the fans hate him.

Did you see Jason Kidd's press conference with Nico Harrison? He was definitely not happy at all. At some point he was visibly shaking.

Kyrie and other players said they are shocked after the trade.

Do you really think his teammates hated Luka? He's like one of the nicest guys in the league (except against the refs but that's not relevant here).

Saying that teammates are happy with Luka gone has absolutely no ground whatsoever.

He's not great on defense but he more than makes up on it with offense and creating opportunities for other guys. He's selfless which is something that any teammate likes.

What cost them being more competitive to Celtics was actually Kyrie's production, especially on the road (probably because he used to play for Boston and fans there always pick on him). But overall Celtics had a better team with more playoff and finals experience together. It wasn't Luka's fault.

Also remember how Windhorst went into Luka for costing the team in the finals last year? He said he was surprised that he heard no defence of Luka from the team/org after that.

I think it's a case where people wouldn't say "let's get rid of Luka" but they also won't be mad if it happened. Nico taking all the heat.

I don't think they hated Luka, more a case of Luka was a lot to deal with given his stature/influence. Similar to how some players are happy after leaving LeBron.

I have no evidence other than people seem very happy given how bad the trade was. Check the latest Kidd video with the team and AD. He's smiling ear to ear.
