What's the best lock mechanism in $degen's case?

Some sort of vesting (get #degen every day or every week), incentivized staking (giving boost for Season 2) or something else?

Locking for locking purpose has 0 value (at most short pump)

Vesting is good to incentivize long-mindedness in team & early backer (memecoin?)

Ongoing incentives for $Degen-things maybe valuable but often gameable.. I prefer rewarding quality contributions (incl. hodl) through bounties, future airdrops/retrogrants.

I'm going to lock the liquidity pool token to prevent rug pull risks. I'll also likely add vesting to a part of the tokens for running the project in the future. Besides that, my focus is on future airdrops and enhancing the token's value. I'll share the exact tokenomics soon.

What's the best way to prevent a pump and dump in your experience?

Not an expert but tokens which do well usually have the right narrative, stands for good cause, good liquidity from the start, holders care about it and future incentives/benefits. I think Farcaster community can only grow from here and $degen should represent and promote Farcaster in some egalitarian way.

People kind of hate it these days but purpose, utility & ongoing development differentiate a "good" token from a p&d token.

Even Dogecoin had solid contributors for quite some time until the community & token reached escape velocity and became its own thing.

How do you define a solid contributor, in concrete terms?

Belief in the cause leads to spending time understanding, promoting and bettering it. Eventually token or anything if it represents part of one's internal value system, contributing towards it becomes quite natural. Just path to it should be easily accessible and tools readily available.

Cause comes naturally imo. I think we are social beings at the core (it even precedes over seeking truth). Farcaster/$degen offers a chance for like minded people to socialize and crypto adds the financial angle. Where we see opportunities, we pursue it to increase our survival chances (biology always win in the end)
