I've thought a lot about AI art and whether or not we should think about it as art. You can read all about it in this article. From the article title you can probably guess where I fall on this topic. https://www.fxhash.xyz/article/in-defense-of-ai-art

i loved this paragraph btw. quick feedback: please put this into paragraph frames so people can read inline, or share a specific quote you want people to engage with. other than that, would love to know the framework @emodi, @sanjay, @0xen, and @bchow use to consider AI or generative art as "art"

One of the things that motivates Highlight is the potential to expand and decentralize the definition of Art That said, what makes art Art is usually a combination of strong skill (often technical), aesthetics (beautiful, challenging, etc), and concept If you think about those three lenses you can start to delineate

At its core, it’s simply, “Does it make you feel something?”

Effort does not equal quality. But honed practice in a particular artistic medium (painting, writing, photography) better allows an artist to express their intent. Sustained effort (a practice) implies quality. I find lots of AI art low-quality, and I don't know if I would consider it a medium so much as a tool.

Yeah I wrote this a while back before I even knew what paragraph is. The one article I have on paragraph currently is farcaster meta so it's not responsive to your request for new material in your channel. 😀
