after the Lex x Beff pod, i am more skeptical of than persuaded by e/acc: -URL vibes are 1000% hyper masculine, but the IRL vibes are… not, to put it bluntly -the sense it was started as satire, unexpectedly took off w/o a strong foundation, and now they’ve doubled down due to sunk cost fallacy any counters? 5 likes but no replies… does that mean you guys share skepticism but have no counters?

Seems to be a pretty common response to skepticism of e/accc. No one seems prepared to stand up and respond to criticism.

ya, the response is typically “I’m for tech optimism” which is not an intelligent counter because it’s answering the wrong question. there are many approaches in the spirit of tech optimism. the question is why is e/acc the right or best one.
