if you ask someone what they do and its not clear after 5min, they’re in marketing

a good marketer would say "marketing" within the first second of you asking, no?

You’ve fallen in @nonlinear.eth ‘s trap.  There’s no such thing as a good marketer.

Anyone who is good at marketing wouldn’t self-identify as a marketer, they’re much too successful for that.

Only people selling themselves to you as a marketer would do that, which means they are pre-money, which means they aren’t a good marketer.

I’ve observed that a lot of them, especially younger folks, are too conscious to say that so they try to embellish it making it even more confusing.
