initial reactions to S3E1 of /whitelotus

- intro song not as good as S2
- really worried that i come across as the annoying british woman
- the north carolina family is my fav plot so far
- the trio of girls is bound to implode (iykyk)
- the aesthetic is out of this world
- “losers back home” lol

mmm agree on all fronts except for no. 01. intro song equally good, belies the darkness ahead. makes very clear that this szn is not a party.

went back and rewatched each e1 from s2 and s1 to see (and feel) the differences / similarities. my favorite is the way the end scene evolves over time and i wonder what this means for the overall four szn arc.

tbfair i went into this season knowing mike white’s intentions to explore death and the afterlife, as opposed to money (s1) and sex (s2).

seeing how he sets the tone in every aspect of the show makes my creative heart melt.
