ehh, people have been saying this forever but i really do think a consumer credit crisis is incoming really hard to change spending behaviors, yet inflation is up (consumers spending more) and employment is ?? (consumers earning less relatively)

++ old people watch the news too much, and of those on the left that are ~55+ that are deeply fearful of DOGE, don’t trust trump, hear elon call social security a ponzi scheme, etc right on the brink of their retirement… surely causes some amount of those ppl to opt for 401k withdrawal

Even the government is laying off employees to outsource. I keep getting calls about a government program and the staff is clearly in the Philippines or Thailand. Soon there will be no more jobs for the working class other than working in the fields to replace the displaced
