For those in the biotech industry is research experience the best way to get a job and get ahead in your career? Or is it better to get internships, network and gain more professional skills and knowledge in the industry?

do research doing the school year and internships/networking/skills in the summer (assuming you’re a student). Boston, San Diego, SF Bay are best spots.

I worry that I would be too busy with research to be able to get an internship in the summer, I’m thinking an internship could give me that research experience as well do you think that’s true?
