once at my lowest, someone i loved a lot said about me "who would have thought somebody that's like so happy and cheery on the outside and so sweet could have such a fucked up constitution?" and you know what i still think about it and it makes me really grateful for the friends i'm with and where we are today

What a hurtful and unhelpful thing to say. We all have lesser known parts of ourselves yet to be discovered. It's also a wholly unoriginal thing to say too. It's empirically proven that synthesizing a positive attitude to bring about genuine feelings of happiness works. This is the "Fake it til you make it" method. Fuck that person.
