gurley: one of the biggest issues is transparency, like i want what opensecrets does to be mandated. that’s somewhat solvable. that’s the thing i wanted blockchain to actually solve, but ya know.

gurley: i was frustrated, lol. i’ve been taking notes on things i have seen for fifteen years — oh and i can’t get a meeting in DC anyway.

i cannot do ANY of this justice. this is a hysterical (and scathing review) of how big companies (telecomm) and government are in bed and squashed bill’s 1990s dreams — and how legislation can not only stall, but also kill innovation.
